Carl Dukes: "If You Don't Have One, You're Not Going Anywhere In The NFL."
It's the most important position on the field!
Quarterback.
Either you have one, your looking for one or you don't have one. If you don't have one your'e not going anywhere in the NFL.
I've said it for years, it's a QB league. Look at what Drew Brees did last night against the Bears and then look at what Jay Cutler did. In the 1st half Brees was 18-20 with over 200 yards and 2 TD's. Cutler was a dumpster fire.
The Texans have gone through three quarterbacks this season: Ryan Mallett tore his pectoral muscle, Ryan Fitzpatrick broke his leg, and rookie Tom Savage hurt his knee after replacing Fitzpatrick on Sunday. The Texans plan on starting either Thad Lewis or Case Keenum next week against the Ravens, which is like saying why not let J.J. Watt start at QB! You believe more in Watt than you do those two. He has done everything else for the Texans and at this point it cant hurt can it?
The Texans are not making the playoffs and after watching Peyton manning own the AFC South for a decade Texan fans are now watching hometown boy Andrew Luck own their team.
The team is moving in the right direction under Bill O'Brien but they don't have the one thing you need to win in the NFL… say it with me A QUARTERBACK!
O'Brien is not going to get fired so you might as well make the fans happy and help JJ's case for MVP. He has been the most dominant player in the league this season and can you imagine if he threw a TD pass or two!
I don't think he will win the MVP, I have Aaron Rodgers winning it, but why not put Watt under center and get the fan base talking and the national media saying "did you see that".
Sometimes I bring genius to myself and this would be one of those times.
