Best Resources For Homeschool Families In Atlanta

Rather than pay hefty tuitions at private schools or enroll in government-funded public schools, more and more families are opting for a non-traditional, parent-led education for their children. As parents begin to entertain the leap into homeschooling, they'll want to do their research to make certain it's the right fit for their family. Luckily, Atlanta has a number of valuable resources for new inductees to the homeschool culture, as well as sources of inspiration and socialization for veteran homeschoolers.

Atlanta Homeschool Magazine

This quarterly publication – available both in print and digital – is a must for homeschool families in and around the Atlanta area. Atlanta Homeschool Magazine's Facebook page and blog are also jam-packed with helpful advice and upcoming events, including homeschool days at area attractions such as Zoo Atlanta, High Museum of Art, Georgia Aquarium and more. Subscriptions to the print magazine are available for purchase online.

Other groups in and around Atlanta include the Athens Cooperative Experience, Atlanta Alternative Education Network, Catholic Homeschool Connections, Central Savannah River Area Home Education Association, Homeschoolers of Alpharetta, Northeast Georgia Homeschool Association and many more.
