Best Guacamole In Atlanta

Atlanta is known for its Mexican food, and the restaurants run the gamut from cozy and casual to upscale and beautiful. Just like the city itself, the Mexican restaurants provide a variety of options, and each place has its own take on guacamole. We have chosen some of our favorite guacs in town and listed them below. Atlanta locals swear by the guacamole at this yummy Mexican spot. A small guac and chips will only set you back around $3, or you can share a larger portion for $5. This restaurant now has two locations, one in the Sweet Auburn Curb market and the newer location in the Irwin Street market, next to Jake's Ice Cream. You won't be disappointed.

Bone Garden Cantina is a festive bar and restaurant known for its collection of over 60 different tequilas. Of course, you'll want something to snack on to accompany your tequila tasting, and its guac is some of the best in Atlanta. The cilantro-spiked guacamole runs around $4, including chips. It's a great after-work or late-night spot to catch up with friends. Bone Garden also offers Mexican sodas made with real sugar, including Mexican Coca-Cola.

This Virginia Highland spot is casual and cheery and serves as a great spot to meet up for a drink and a snack or to share an entire meal. The guacamole is priced at around $6 and locals have been talking about it for years. The lime-salted corn chips pair quite nicely with your helping of avocado goodness. It is only open for lunch on the weekends, so be sure to check the website for times before you head out. It's a great place to see and be seen in this cozy Atlanta neighborhood.

Alright, so a pizza joint might not be the most obvious choice for great guacamole, but trust us - it's worth a try. The server will mash up the guac fresh to your order, including some tasty pico. Priced at around $7, it is a perfect sharing appetizer. Your friends might be skeptical at first, but by the first bite, they will be saluting your insider knowledge.

There are plenty of Mexican dive joints for your casual evenings, but if you want a nicer place for a business lunch or a night out with the girls, Alma Cocina will fit the bill. It has a traditional guacamole made with tomato, lime, cilantro, red onion and Serrano chilies. But there is also a roasted corn guacamole made with chipotle and queso fresco that takes the average guac to another level. It's conveniently located downtown for an easy work lunch and has plenty of parking.
