Best Beer Gardens In Atlanta
Just as Atlanta is a cultural mix when it comes to its residents, the same can be said when it comes to its bars and restaurants. Spring weather brings patrons out to the decks and patios of the eating and drinking establishments of the metro area. Those that have traveled the world know that there is nothing like the experience of sitting and relaxing in a German beer garden while downing a couple steins of their favorite lager. There are a handful of Atlanta-area establishments that give you that unique feel. Sit back, close your eyes and imagine you are in your favorite region of Germany in the days leading up to Octoberfest at one of these local beer garden.

Kurt's and Vreny's Beer Garden in Duluth were one of my favorite sports for over two decades. They may have moved locations, but you can still experience the magic and cuisine that is uniquely Kurt's. You still get the same dining and beer garden experience with choices like the Swiss fondue, curry wurst and the Schwabian platter. Kurt's has all of your favorite beers and the "Bistro" is also available for private dining or catering.

Located right in the Old Fourth Ward, Ladybird does makes your night out special. Although, it doesn't have to be a night out, you can come during the day. In fact, on the weekends, daytime is the perfect time to sit outdoors and relax with a cold beer and try the Navajo Fry Bread. It's a "beer garden" feel, but you can still order cocktails and wine. Take some of the homemade "Cracker Jack" home with you. The chicken and dumplings are some of the best you will ever have.

Located right in Grant Park, Augustine's may not advertise the fact that they have a beer garden set up, but they should. The outdoor patio is a perfect place to let the days pass and enjoy a cold beer or two. This neighborhood bar serves up Bigfoot Ale, Key West Wheat and Stark Refreshed Porter. The food is mostly snacks, burgers and sandwiches, but it's great patio food. Stop by during the week for trivia night, Bocce and Thursday's bike night.
