There's no shortage of fun to be had in Atlanta this St. Patrick's Day. Choose from any number of these festive activities. Whether shoveling a basket full of fish and chips, accompanied by a pint of Ireland's best brew of course, or embracing the live entertainment available, this year's Irish holiday will undoubtedly be honored in a great way.

A traditional St. Patrick's Day celebration again comes to Underground Atlanta. You will find an assortment of entertainment that ranges across the board from music to magic. Danny Ray Cole will display his musical talents using a handful of different instruments. Live music will ring through the streets all day, and there will be ample opportunities to sample Irish food selections at the nearby restaurants. Bring the whole family for a great time. Admission is free with a $1 or canned good donation to the "Pot of Gold". Donations will be received in the days leading up to St. Patrick's Day as well at the Underground Atlanta Information Booth.

If you want a good St. Patty's Day party that isn't too crowded or crazy, Deadwood Saloon might be your best bet. This friendly, neighborhood bar is not charging a cover for their St. Patty's Day celebration. Live music will keep your feet dancing throughout the night and great drink specials will help you stay loose.

After a successful celebration in 2011, Tavern 99 is bringing back the St. Patrick's Day party with its highly anticipated, Felling Lucky Fest. The parking lot will be transformed into a concert venue, when Tavern 99 rolls in a big rig with a stage attached. Six bands including the Patrick Scott Band will be rocking the night away. Party-goers can drink indoors and out from morning 'til night. Expect drink specials that will leave you feeling lucky.

The month of March is no joke for Piedmont Park's own Park Tavern. They are taking St. Patrick's Day celebrations to the next level with the following two celebrations.

Luckyfest 2012

Saturday, March 10, 2012, Piedmont Park will start rocking when Park Tavern and SPIRAL Entertainment present, Lucky Fest 2012. Live performances by Life and Limb, Smothered and Covered, Desire and the 90s cover band Unzipt will keep the crowd going from 1 p.m. until midnight. Admission to Luckyfest costs $15 and you must be 21 to enter the festival area.

Lepre*CON 2012

For the official St. Patrick's Day celebration on March 17, Park Tavern teams up with promoters, A Social Mess, to throw one of the freakiest parties Piedmont Park has ever witnessed. Live music, DJs, hot southern belles in green shirts, and leprechaun lushes will all be seen on the grassy fields of the park next to the tavern. Tickets for Lepre*CON 2012 start at only $8. Under 21 not admitted.
