A Night Out In North Atlanta

Atlanta's nightlife options are much like the Atlanta metro itself, diverse and unique. For the party goer and thrill seeker, that means a sprawling area of bars, nightclubs and restaurants to sort through. The best thing to do is sit down and plan out your night before you head out, as you might spend most of your night sitting in traffic or trying to find a parking space. Here are some tips for a night out in North Atlanta.
Red Door Tavern
3180 Roswell Rd.
Atlanta, GA 30305
(404) 846-6525

If you've never been to Red Door Tavern on a weekend, you will be amazed. For 10 years, Red Door has served as not only Atlanta's premier dive bar, but also a hub of Atlanta's nightlife. Whether you opt for a cocktail, a beer tower or just want to sit at the bar and soak up the atmosphere, you will meet some of the area's most friendly and interesting people while you spend an entertaining night out on the town.

Cosmolava

Atlanta, GA 30309

If you like deals, here's your chance to get two-for-one when it comes to nightlife experiences in Atlanta. I'm talking about two clubs, Cosmo and Lava, which share a midtown address and make things twice as fun. The vibe here is both upscale and sophisticated, but you shouldn't be intimidated. Cosmo has been around for years and it's views of the Atlanta skyline are as perfect as they get. Lava is a relaxing lounge with four bars on three levels. These two options should be able to handle you and your group all weekend long.

Whiskey Blue
3377 Peachtree Road
Atlanta, GA 30326
(678) 500-3190
www.gerberbars.com

Patrons have to take a glass elevator to get to Whiskey Blue, but what is waiting for them, is the best view of Buckhead and Lenox Mall. That, along with some of the most creative cocktails makes Whiskey Blue one of the best "night out' choices in North Atlanta. Whiskey Blue makes one feel like they are the king and queen of Atlanta with attentive servers and this upscale vibe. Whiskey Blue is open seven days a week, and many nights they bring in the top DJs in the area to entertain. Whiskey Blue is an experience and one of the top spots to hit in North Atlanta.

Moondogs is Buckhead's party headquarters and it has been that way for years. Come for the drink specials and to spend time with hundreds of other party goers, but stay and have fun dancing, playing bar games or maybe even partaking in some Texas Hold 'Em. Moondogs has some of the best beer prices in the city and the staff will be having as much fun as the patrons. Don't forget, Wednesday is "Customer Appreciation Day" and the drink specials are hard to beat.

Pub 71
4058 Peachtree Road N.E.
Atlanta, GA 30319
(404) 467-8271

If a night out at an Irish pub is your thing, you should check out Pub 71. Good food paired with all your Irish favorites like Guinness and Harp sound fine to me. Pub 71 also offers trivia, bingo and is known for its live music on the weekends. A fast and efficient bar staff will tend to your needs when thirsty. For a great night out on the northside of town, Pub 71 is your place.
