2 Indicted After Death Of 5-Year-Old Boy At Georgia Camp
ATLANTA (AP) — A grand jury has indicted two people after a 5-year-old boy drowned while attending a summer camp near Atlanta.
Local media report that Benjamin "Kamau" Hosch III died July 21 after he was found unresponsive in the water while attending Camp Cricket at Cochran Mill Nature Center southwest of Atlanta.
Fulton County court records show that camp director Terri Clark faces charges of reckless conduct and involuntary manslaughter. Nature center executive director Maribeth Wansley faces one count of operating an early childhood learning center without a license.
Philip Holloway, a lawyer for Clark, said in an email Wednesday that he couldn't comment because he hadn't seen the indictment.
Wansley couldn't immediately be reached and no lawyer was listed in court records.
