      Tax hike looms over cash-strapped Colorado city

      |More than half of Colorado Springs' $230 million annual budget is funded by sales taxes which are an unreliable source of money in a volatile economy. Record wild fires will put a bigger strain on the budget and might force the city's conservative mayor to rethink not raising taxes, reports Jim Axelrod.
