FBI director suggests NSA surveillance might have stopped 9/11

FBI Director Robert Mueller defended the controversial NSA surveillance programs during testimony before Congress on Thursday, saying if authorities had the tools before 9/11 that they have now, they might have been able to connect the dots and could have potentially "derailed" the 9/11 plotters from carrying out the attack.
