Colonoscopies save lives, but they're not perfect
A new study published in The New England Journal of Medicine found colonoscopies can prevent 40 percent of all cases of colon cancer by finding polyps before they turn cancerous. But doctors may be performing the screening too quickly to find the hidden polyps. Dr. Jon LaPook reports.
