9/12: Colo. towns drenched by flooding rains; Voyager 1 exceeded lead scientist's expectations

      |Torrential rain sent walls of water crashing down Colorado mountainsides, killing at least three people and leaving at least one town surrounded by water. As many as eight inches of rain have fallen since Wednesday; and, The Voyager 1 spacecraft is the first to enter interstellar space, exceeding lead scientist Ed Stone's expectations that it would last for only five years.
