I'm currently reading Arnold's book and find his life facinating. He sets goals and accomplishes them, world champion body builder, number one actor, governor and a savy businessman who became a millionaire in his twenties. Even his marriage to Maria, he was careful to be sure it was he right time for her and supported her career. As far as her giving up her career for him, I doubt anyone could "make" Maria do anything she didn't want to do. Why he jeopardized his marriage having affairs only he knows. The interesting thing is neither he or Maria are seeing anyone and it begs the question, can they work this out? It sounds like Arnold would do anything to undo what he has done and regain his family but to quote George W, there are no do overs. Whatever the outcome, lessons will be learned, I wish them both the best they're amazing individuals and were an amazing team.

This comment is for Arnold's wife, Maria: Maria I hope you are not thinking "I gave up my career for this man". You have been an amazing example of what a good spouse does for the other spouse and for your children. You have taught them(your children) to trust someone and stand beside them until proven otherwise and that is what you did. You supported him and your family in his decsion to be in political office. You protected your children by protecting him from the public, until it was the right time; showing an incredible ability as a mother. Once again, by leaving him, you have showed your children what to do when you "are proven otherwise".

As for you Arnold, I hope your admirers can separte the amazing business man and politian from the terrible family man you are. Your children will learn to forgive you in the short time and then they will come to realize that you cheated on them, when you cheated on their mother. You will spend your later years a lonely man. This comes from experience of having a father who did the same to my mother and while for awhile I made amends with him; after having relationships of my own, I realized that my father's failure as a family man wasn't worth having him as family and it has been 18 years since we have communicated. Saying that, I wish you the strength that you will need to get through this horrible failure.

Oh, and Maria some words of strength from Winstin Churchhill:

"When you are going through hell, keep on going".

Thank you for being a role model for all women.

'Celebrity word,' should be replaced, and one can coin a different word. Moral values are the most needed... Why not ?

Classic Narcissistic Sociopath. Smug. Doesn't care if he got caught. Has no true feelings for anyone but himself. Disgusting person if you ask me.

First I must say this is always sad, when a man makes decisions like this. It always hurts others.

As a man we realize what all other men go through, our drives and passions are powerful, most can not tame them, society, and especially women do not understand them.

But our drives and feelings are no more evil, than a women's passions or drives. We are molded and shaped by emotions, experiences, and chemicals that are also not evil.

What I find disturbing are not Arnold's mistakes, for like us he is flawed, for we are human. We all do things we hope no one else will be privy to.

Instead I find the facial expressions, the scolding tone, and scowls of the interviewer to be at odds with the human soul, cold and reckless is what I find her to be.

My heart goes out to Arnold and his family...

Arnold has no consideration of his children or Maria's feelings to write this book. I think everyone should boycott the book and show him what we think of him. He'll think hard before he writes another one!
