Why would a father want to kill his own daughter? Investigators believe the motive behind the murder is almost as shocking as the crime. Troy Roberts reports.

I can only wonder what "honor" there is any any Islamic society that allows the murder of a child. They choose to come to America. In America we live by "western" values and standards. If you choose to come to this country then you must abide by those same values and standards. Murdering another human being, child or not, is not one of those values. I can understand someone wanting to live by their religious and cultural beliefs. Islam, nor any other major religion, does not contain tenets in any of their Holy writings that sanction a parent to murder their own child base on their own, not religious, ideas of honor. Who ever judges this "person", and I use the term loosely, when he stands before them on their final judgement day will actually extract the ultimate price for this animal murdering his own child. This animal is incapable of honor!

35:10 .. Verdict is read.. Even his lawyer was shocked that he received a NOT guilty on 1st degree! Too bad he is not going to spend the rest of his life in jail! So sad! How is he going to "honor" his family now in jail? He's is more of a disgrace now than his daughter would have ever been!

What manner of "honor" did such a family have BEFORE the daughter's actions? If there's any "world" culture that could regard a family, who kills its own (for being pictured with boys, any reason, etc.) as "honorable," then such a culture possesses a skewed/out-of-true view on reality.

I'm spanish and Spain is in Europe so I want to mean that our laws don't alow such a crimes. People believes american people should understand this cases better than we do because USA has a real democracy and protect the freedom of people. How could people of that jury believe that it wasn't a premeditated murder? I can't understand it. Muslim culture or muslim people has got this beliefs. They believe they can control their own children because they made possible their children were born. It's a horrible idea but they believe that. If that crime had been commited in Middle East well it would be their problem. But people that lives in democracy we cannot allow such a behaviour. We cannot allow that children are being raising as properties and we cannot show the world that we allow this. With that verdict that people said to the world that we allow this and everybody can kill their children when they want. What a incredible verdict!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can any parent murder their own child just because they don't marry who they want them to marry?
This reminds me of an Egyptian doctor I once used to work for, who degraded all the women in his office, every single day. He always hated his daughters boyfriends because they were not their kind. I know it's not the same story but it just shows that these pigs from other countries want to come here and treat American women the way they treat their own.

One of my best friends is Iraqi and was in a 5+ hidden relationship with my American cousin. She was eventually forced into a marriage with another Iraqi man and she is now living a lie with him. It got to the point where she was living so much of a lie that she became sociopathic - trying to please her family but still enjoy the freedoms around her. Now she is miserable in her marriage and paying the price of keeping with her family's values. I don't know how these young girls can be stable living with such freedoms around them but still having to adhere to a culture living in the dark ages. It is quite sad.

This is so sad. She was so beautiful and did nothing wrong and her Father MURDERED her and it was 1st degree murder! If that pig wanted to live by those old fashion sick Islamic rules then he should have stayed in his own damned Country!

I think one of the biggest flaws the prosecution made in aruguing theyre case was failing to tell the jury to close there eyes and now to imagine he is white! you can bet that the out come would have been different i think.

This show and what is going on in this world shows us that Islam is a major problem for all of us. How do we tolarate this violent screwed up faith. If Islam is so great then why come here to this country? Why doesn't their faith bless their own country. No look at their countries! That says it all!!
