Rep. Steve King defends Akin, comments on rape, abortion

Amid calls for Rep. Todd Akin to drop out of the Missouri Senate race over his controversial comments regarding rape, Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) defends Mr. Akin saying that he should be judged based on his voting record and political stances. Rep. King goes on to say that he hasn't heard of instances where young victims of statutory rape or incest become pregnant. KMEG's Heather Leigh reports.

Akin should not have used the word "legitimate" but the fact remains that forced rape vicitms do not get pregnant at the rate other women having unprotected sex do (of course SOME rape victims get pregnant, or this wouldn't be an issue at all):

King isn't in step with Romney and key GOP leadership. The GOP doesn't look united going into the conventionl
