Romney: "I never paid less than 13 percent" in taxes

August 17, 2012 7:25 AM

Amid calls to release additional years of tax returns to disprove Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's theory that he hasn't paid taxes in a decade, Mitt Romney told reporters at the Greenville-Spartanburg International airport in South Carolina on Thursday that his returns show he's never paid less than 13 percent in taxes.

GIVE IT UP. There are NO requirements for Presidents or candidates to release their tax returns. NONE.

Of the 535 members of Congress that have been asked by independent groups for full disclosure of their tax returns, only 17 have complied. Listen up here, 17.

Among those who refused to release their tax returns are Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Harry Reid, both of whom have heavily criticized Romney. This is the height of hypocrisy on the part of these lying Democrats.

Despicable.
