Praying Javier Martin is found guilty of both murders Don North and Jean Pierre Bouahard. Again prison is too good for Javier Martin. These people should die the way they killed. These killers have no soul they are pure evil.

The story about Don North's disappearance and the subsequent investigation and capture of his killer, Javier Martin, is by far one of the top investigative news stories that has ever been told! Thanks to everyone involved for their help in solving this crime, and for producing the story for 48 Hours.

You watch enough of these stories and you conclude that there are bad people everywhere and you can't be too trusting. What galls me about this story, though, is that Don rescued Javier after his boat sank, and then Javier killed him. There should be a special place in hell for that.

I can see the accuser as a guy out to make a buck at any cost & wonder if CBS paid him what if anything he would have to say but prob nothing but the run around most likely, sad ppl choose to live that way.

It's always very upsetting to see 48 Hours stories like this one, where something terrible happened to such a good person for no good reason. There seems to be little doubt, if any, that Javier Martin is behind it, though I think the other man who also used Don's ATM card got off too easy just by claiming he was using it to get money to Don.

This story is 1.5 years old. Latest is from June 11, 2012 Sante Fe Panama news story stating "Prosecutor Requests Trial For Javier Martin In The Murder of Don North". Story author claims Panamanian wheels of justice turn exceedingly slow. A conviction 6 years later is not unusual.

If I used the credit cards of a murdered man, I would be arrested on the spot. Absoluely no doubt about it. So, the fellow with the yellow boat admits he used North's CC and is not arrested? Doesn't add up. The 48-hour story makes no sense whatsoever.
