
Romney: Obama's always opposed work in welfare

In a Des Moines, Iowa, speech on Wednesday, Mitt Romney continued his line of attack on President Obama's welfare overhaul, noting that as a senator, Obama opposed President Clinton's reforms to "put work together with welfare."

- As I'm sure you know, Mitt, Obama opposed the particular version of "welfare reform" Bill Clinton and Newt Gingrich cooked up; that DOESN'T mean he opposed efforts to transition people receiving welfare benefits into paid employment!
