Cantor: Let's make jobs "priority one"

August 4, 2012 9:51 AM

Delivering the weekly GOP address, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., criticized the Senate's passage this week of a "Democrat-only plan to hike taxes," and called on the president and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., to "make jobs priority one."

It's obvious his first priority *his* job -- and keeping the perks that come with it, peasants be damned.

Guess Eric thinks he's fooling America by borrowing Trillions of dollars to give away as tax breaks for billionaires like Sheldon Adelson.

Today's tax breaks will be paid for by America's kids when all the debt GOP is dumping on them this year, and last, comes due.

What do you say Virginia voters, is Eric Cantor taking America in the wrong direction?

What has Cantor done to create the jobs he promised last election, absolutely nothing. But he has created a budget that would spell the demise of social security and medicare. He is following his puppet masters, the Koch brothers, instructions to the letter, to dismantle the US government from the inside. Cantor and the tea party is what is wrong with congress, with no compromises and the winner take all partisan politics that has made the current congress even less effective than last years "do nothing congress". His lack of actions on what he promised is typical of the kind of lies told by the GOP hard right, and the Koch propaganda machines that spew lies at an alarming rate. Wake up America, you are the target of a hostile takeover by Koch Industries. They will say anything, do anything to dismantle the government, by scamming you into believing that they are out to "Save America". They are out for themselves and no one else.

Mr. Cantor, who are you fooling. Wealth alone does not create jobs. Wealth has the "potential" to create innovation which creates desire and demand. What Henry Ford understood is that higher paid employees allows people to satisfy desire and increase demand. Consumer demand with money to spend creates jobs. Wealth and greed is more often than not complacent, spending only on themselves and looking with admiration at the pile they have accumulated. Henry Ford understood that there was no value if he was the only one able to afford an automobile. Af"ford"ability creates jobs.

Mr. Cantor - You promised this the last election.

Remember how your group was going to focus on jobs-jobs-jobs. You spoke those words and got the vote then you lead in making all the moves for everything but. Time for to go sir.

Your performance in helping lead one of the least popular Congresses ever indicates you did not represent the interests of the people as needing you to.

Time for you to go back to the private sector whom you claim best qualified to represent. I'm sure you will not have a problem making an income from something other then obstructing government.

Time for you to go away...

The republican'ts want a uniform government. They are itching - hungering - to dismantle the entire fabric of federal social programs like Medicare, Social Security, unemployment insurance, workers' compensation, minimum wage, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., the graduated income tax and consumer protections like the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Food and Drug Administration.

These savings can then be passed along to the 1% in the form of tax cuts.
