Romney to Reid: I pay "a lot of taxes"

August 3, 2012 10:11 AM

Speaking to reporters in North Las Vegas on Friday, Mitt Romney called Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's allegation that the presumptive GOP nominee hasn't paid taxes in 10 years "wrong... I have paid taxes every year, and a lot of taxes."

Abro: Financial statements?? Those aren't returns. Show us where your money is hidden/invested Mitt. Obama would not be allowed to get away with this! Can you imagine the crazy right coming for him with pitchforks led by Rush? They won't even accept an official birth certificate from a US State! Romney doesn't discuss his prominent role in the Mormon Church and how he personally has oppressed women, or how the Church thinks he is the white horse that was predicted to come and save the constitution in the Book of Mormon. He doesn't talk about his "liberal" phase as Gov of Mass.

He didn't bet on America..he shoved his money in every tax haven he could and now he wants to raise taxes on the rest of us.

What kind of taxes Mitt? New theory--before deciding to run for Prez Romney/wife gave to "liberal" causes that would hurt him now that he is an "extreme conservative". Whatever it is, the public deserves to know. Show us the money!

Are you people crazy? Mitt has released his financial statements, what about that is "hiding" his tax returns? But oh no, we can't go and take the time to go and read through hundreds of pages of someone else's tax returns, most of probaly don't even do that with our own tax returns. So I guess we just have to take the words of Harry Reid at face value since HE clearly knows everything about Mitt's financial state, I bet HE read Mitt's tax return info...

Go ahead and breathe in the kool-aid there my wooly friends.

Robmee, we're not asking you to tell us you paid a lot of taxes. We ask you to show us that you paid your fair share of taxes. Is that really hard to understand or you're just stupid?

Mitt, you have paid a lot of taxes in terms of the actual number but as to the effect on the richness and quality of your life, no, it is not really significant. Not compared to the tax on an average worker where even a couple hundred bucks can make a difference. To you, Mitt, a $10,000 bet is nothing but to a worker in a mill it would be considered a fortune. Does that make you a bad man, Mitt? No, not really, just a very, very lucky one.

Wrong again Mitt. No one complained about anything in his 2010 returns so why would they complain about anything in his past returns if there is nothing to complain about. The fact remains that Mitt is refusing to do what past candidates have done and that is to be transparent.
