Russia and China block UN resolution on Syria

Russia and China blocked a UN Security Council resolution to impose sanctions on Syria for its actions in the civil war that's killed more than 17,000 people. The future of the UN Observer Mission on Syria remains uncertain and Russia has signaled its readiness to veto the next UN resolution on Syria.
