Romney booed by NAACP crowd

July 11, 2012 8:30 AM

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney on Wednesday was met with outbursts of "boos" while addressing the NAACP's annual conference in Houston, when he mentioned repealing the Affordable Care Act and criticized President Obama, saying he "has not, he will not, he cannot" drive job creation.

I wish I could put this discussion to rest once and for all.

OBAMACARE WILL NOT HELP THE POOR! unless you think giving them more company will help. I'm a contractor and struggle to get by. I don't have healthcare, and can't afford it, but Obamacare would not provide me with it; rather it only requires me to buy it at my own expense or pay a $700 fine every year! While the fine is less than the cost of healthcare, I still can't afford it. This will sink me! This is not healthcare for the poor, it's a "you're not quite poor enough so you need to be poorer" tax.

It would also sink some of my best clients who can't afford to provide health care for their employees. Those employees would like healthcare, but aren't in a position to lose their jobs even if their jobs don't provide it. They would all agree it is better to keep going as they are then to have the companies they work for tank.

This is a dismal and poorly thought-out law and we NEED Romney in office to bring down this disgrace. I don't find this law "humane" at all!

I also think Romney handled the booing very well. He made it painfully clear that despite the dems constant guffawing at the claim, this act REALLY IS a job-killer!

It's funny how the lame-stream urinalists left out the rounds of applause and the standing ovation the Romster got.

Romney just does not give a damn for ordinary hard working Americans, black, white or Latino. The man. if elected would be president of just the richest segment of America. He will never come down from his ivory tower and mix or understand the problems that normal hard working people face every day. He lacks empathy for the poor and underprivileged He does not know how to and will not learn. Just another spoiled brat who thinks he's entitled to have it all. He wanted the booing to prove to his zealot driven conservative base that he is one of them.

If Pres. Obama or Holder talked to a bunch of whites and was booed the media would state racism. Therefore I will follow their logic and state the people at the NAACP were racist for booing a white man.

"Romney booed by NAACP crowd"

But they would, based on general principle as Obama worshipers.

It would be the worst sort of injustice, indeed historically significant injustice, if capitalist fat cats get Romney elected, particularly since President Obama is daily proving himself to be the best president our country has had since Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

Although I give him credit for reaching out I am not surprised at the reaction. He is addressing one of the most chronic underachieving groups that think the world owes them a living and everyone is out to get them. They will vote for anybody who will keep the free handouts going no matter the cost to the US or the loss of freedom they bring on themselves.
