After you have been abused for so long , there will be a time where you have to say enough to your abuser, and thats what happened in this case.... i think believe the sons hatret towards mom is because of money...glad she is fre.. sorry Danny lost his life

I agree with this decision... no more tax dollars being spent and this woman has done her time. AS for her children, her son is a loser! His Mother trusted him. I can't believe the Mother can't see through her wicked Daughter, just using her for more money! I hope she wakes up and throws that thing out!

The more crime shows I watch, the more I get the impression that women get a much more lenient sentence for the same crime as a man, if they get a sentence at all. I am from Germany and here I observe the same. Domestic violence is no justification to kill someone!! I was raised under an abusive father and I know what I am talking about. A woman can always leave , and having a pistol in the household will escalate the violence, no doubt about that. Besides she could have gotten out of the situation without killing that man! But she has not even tried ! Another thing: There are also a lot of battered men, but nobody seems to talk about their misery!

She was crippled herself and uses a cane, so I believe she reacted out of fear for her life; especially if he did indeed say he's getting his gun. She was also very emotional in the court room. Murderers are not emotional like that. Irregardless of how it happened she's on probation and has to speak in front of battered women for about 10 years without saying she was defending herself. She has to continuously relive this moment talking about it, which can do more good for society than her just sitting behind bars using up tax money.

I feel that the woman already did her time in that she was abused severely for years. The whole family will forever pay for her decision not to leave. It is indeed a tragedy. i hope Danny rests in peace.

Also, I'd say the 9mm has plenty of penetration.

I was an severely abused woman for 11 1/2 years. I think in this case, she was abused but grew to love all the money. I also think with his brain injury he had not been violent for three years since the motorcycle accident. She was harboring ill feelings and saw her chance to get rid of the person who gave her pain and now had become a burden. She knew what she was doing. As an abused woman, I remember before leaving him that I got to the point that I thought about killing him in his sleep just to be rid of him and put a stop to his violence. I chose to leave instead, of course he did not have the bank accounts this woman now owns.

Nice example of shooting threw pig guts, but did you notice the blood spatter? The bullet did not go threw the body into the drywall. No blood spatter on drywall of home.

Stories have two sides, tragically, Danny isn't alive to tell his side of the story, I believe if he were, Charlene would be serving a life sentence!
