Norquist to GOP: Tax pledge is a "commitment"

Grover Norquist, author of the Americans for Tax Reform pledge who spearheads much of the GOP's tax debate, told CBS News Congressional correspondent Nancy Cordes on Thursday that he'll hold members of Congress, as well as the party's presumptive presidential nominee Mitt Romney, accountable for signing the pledge to oppose tax increases.

Norquist is nothing but a blackmailer, plain and simple, who says that, in effect, if you don't sign my pledge I will do everything I can and spend bucket-loads of money to make sure you're defeated in the next election. How sad that some Republicans in Congress aren't strong enough to stand up to this criminal and aren't strong enough to stand on their principles.
