- Creating a network based on the people they know is a great suggestion for job-seeking college grads. How about creating a network based on the people they DON'T know - in other words, talking to strangers? There is enormous potential in the people we encounter throughout our day...all we need do is strike up a conversation and we can turn these everyday interactions into relationships of enormous potential. Everyone has a story of a random encounter that changed their life in some way. College grads are are prime candidates for it.
