Huh? Great show of my for ever favorite album but "having gilmore without gilmore? you have to be kidding me. That statement was probably waters biggest "sin" (if there was a God) or it is one? No one can tell for sure, not even roger. anyways the guitarist sounded more like a guy reciting the notes from the script, he has no soul and no talent he cant make your heart stump with the guitar the way Gilmour with his virtuous gift does. ROGER, YOU ARE GREAT A GENIUS TOO BUT YOU ARE NOT GOD TO KNOW FOR SURE WHETHER THERE IS OR THERE ISN'T ONE. And you'd have to be deaf for not to tell the abysmal difference between your rookie and David Gilmour

"At 68 Roger Waters is finally getting his due." Seriously? The man behind one of the most popular, influential and best-selling rock bands of all time is FINALLY getting his due? What a throw-away line.

I was in High School when "The Wall" came out. I was also in West Germany when Ronald Reagan gave his famous "...tear down this wall..." speech. I've seen much in the years in between. I was working at an AV company when the German performance tapes were released, be did a show at a local club the day after it was broadcast at a local night club, and somewhere I have a copy of the original show on a 'BetaMax Hi-Fi' tape. If anyone who feels that Syd, or even David, made this band - I would argue that point. "Dark side of the Moon" was an Alan Parsons "Project", and even he gives credit to Roger as the biggest influence in the studio at the time. I want to see this version of the concert - something I've always wanted to see live, even in 1990.

Comfortable Numb forever!! IT IS WAS NOT Roger Waters masterpiece, but David Gilmour's!!!! Yeah Roger wrote the lyrics in 10 minutes he is quoted, but it was the guitar, melody and the singing of David soothing over Roger's slant that makes this the best song of The Wall and Pink Floyd in general. Screw Another Brick in the Wall part 2. It was a disco paridy that was Pink Floyd's only number one hit. I miss my mother and remember her dancing to it. hahaahahhehehehe I had to tell her, Mom, you don't really dance to Pink Floyd. :)
Glad you chilled down Roger. You ruined my generations experience to the true Pink Floyd. Next time spit in a (air)fan pointed at your own face heheh.

I remember using money I had made working at a kitchen in 1980 to buy the Wall lp. I still have that album. What an eye opening experience that movie and sound created for me. Thanks for posting your report.

Truly a magical experience and one that will continue to be enjoyed through the ages. Although Waters didnt mention it the most magical night of this tour was the night David Gilmour stood on top of that Wall in London last year - here is a blog post of that night http://www.tmakworld.com/2011/06/david-gilmour-and-roger-waters-together.html
