The American people are tired of our government getting involved in foreign countries problems. These countries do nothing for us in return. I know paramedics who have gone to Iraq and Afghanistan, making 6 figure incomes, to provide physician extender type medical care for the citizens there--free medical care! Their jobs are contracted through agencies which are making huge profits off of the contracts. This does not include the money that Americans are spending on foreign aid, military aid etc. to these countries.
The US needs to start looking out for their own people. There are millions of elderly living in poverty and substandard housing, soldiers with no jobs after they return home, millions of unemployed in our country with no healthcare, children in orphanages that need homes etc.
We need to start putting the US first. I understand the importance of fighting Al-Quaida overseas, but most of the money that is going overseas is not used in fighting terrorism.
