Extra: Victim's family files civil suit
May 5, 2012 7:25 PM
Sheri Coleman's family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Joyce Meyer Ministries, arguing that the deaths of Sheri and her sons could have been prevented if the organization had thoroughly investigated the email threats. Contrary to the claims in the lawsuit, Meyer and her son, Daniel Meyer, have stated that they did not know of the affair before Chris admitted it to authorities. Sheri's cousin, family spokesperson Enrico Mirabelli, explains their side of the case.
Did Chris Coleman's obsession lead to murders?- I'm soooo surprised that this 'cousin/lawyer' is making such a jackass out of himself....you can NEVER say what somebody knew! (Ask Judge Judy!) Joyce Meyer Ministries did the right thing by passing the information immediately to the authorities....what they did or did not do with that information is their fault...not hers. And, Yes, the Ministry would never have the legal right to investigate the employees laptop....no way! My heart goes out to Joyce...I'm sure this was most heartbreaking for her and knowing the wonderful loving person she is, she probably is asking herself if there were more she could have done. What a shame that her time and finances have to be wasted on this charade of a lawsuit...I'm really praying that she can sue back for her time and money when these idiots lose the case...In Jesus' Name, AMEN! Love and Prayers to All!

- They could not investigate anyway, you need a court order to do things like that. Unless, you have heard it from the ppl themselves don't repeat. The police often put blame on someone else to cover themselves. I have experienced that before with a police report and it was a simple incident. He would have never changed his mind or motive he wanted them dead to start over, like all the other crazies out there. He would have done this if he worked at Walmart. Firing him would not have changed the outcome at all. He planned it for a long time.

- REALLY!!! OMG! My employers do not get into my life. He wanted his family dead to start a new life. It doesn't matter if she did know its not her fault he killed his family. The police were aware of the threats also. His motive for murder was another woman not losing his job because he knew when he started the affair he could lose his job.

- I find it unbelievable and ridiculous that there are those who believe Joyce Meyer's organization should be held liable for what this man did to his family. That is absurd! What is her organization supposed to do, investigate an employee because he uses his phone too much? if they felt there was something shady going on they most certainly would have fired him. To say that had they investigated him would have saved the lives of those three beautiful people is ignorant. You want to blame someone? blame Chris, the one that killed them!

- Just love this lawsuit. I thought that the police were the one's to investigate threating email, letters, etc. Now I'm told it's employers! This lawyer really needs to get a grip. No matter if Joyce Meyers new or not that this man was having an affair, HE KILL HIS FAMILY! His wife put her children and herself in danger. For some reason, she wanted to remain married to a man that was making her life hell and cheating on her.
