Excellent book. The evidence is in. Bottom line: Enhanced Interrogation as part of a HUMINT collection program works! Anyone who denies this knows nothing about interrogation or HUMINT. Jose Rodriguez is a great American Patriot. Thank God we still have a few people like this left to keep us safe. On the other hand, the book reveals what many Americans have suspected for some time: There are anti-American ideologues in the government and media, who will do everything within their power to destroy the U.S. and anyone who tries to protect and defend her. In simply doing his job, Rodriguez had to contend with self-serving bureaucrats, politicians and malignant reporters hell-bent on releasing classified information to the world. It is these illegal leaks, and not Rodriguez' noble and necessary HUMINT activities, that are criminal. The book demonstrates what a hopeless bureaucratic nightmare our intelligence and defense services have become; an endless charade of paperwork, rules, attorneys and confusing nonsensical, bureaucratic steps, just to conduct simple intelligence activities. Certainly, at this rate, we will not--we cannot--prevail in a war with a capable adversary. And the facts revealed, so far, demonstrate this is exactly what liberals in the U.S. want. Consistent with facts revealed in this book, and stated liberal ideology, we now see irrefutable evidence that the Obama administration and its corrupt Attorney General and his minions, are behind further leaks of classified information and a grand cover up of the same. No amount of sham regime "investigations," however, can cover-up the truth. Lawless Obama, Holder and treasonous leaker-liberals should be tried and jailed. Rodriguez deserves high praise and our gratitude for doing what needed to be done to keep us safe, in the face of liberal treason.

Yes, Lesley, America doesn't do that. It lets others do it to us. Remember Daniel Pearl? I would suggest that our national bird be changed from the eagle to the ostrich because you and all the other bleeding-heart liberals have your heads buried in the sand and have no idea what's going on around you. If you have your way you'll PC us into oblivion.

Americans always believed our press and shows like 60 Minutes were serving the majority interest. Now we're finally getting some truth from sources that were outside the control of the liberal 'cabal' that is the MSM. Talk radio and parts of the internet are all we have now, but the tide is turning. Stories like this one should make you ask 'hey, who's side is she on?'. She's on theirs, that's why she's on the MSM. Get informed and get 'them' out.

Bill Clinton and Al Gore ordered the torture of terrorists although its called rendition when torture is used overseas so the only real difference is real estate and the fact foreigners are torturing on our behalf. I admire Rodriguez for standing firm on a method that saved lives and helped to capture more terrorists.

Alternet.com and the Huffington Post has stories that President Obama has engaged in rendition style of torture so the real question is when will CBS start asking Obama and Clinton about tortured done on their watch. Especially Clinton, while I support torture I think the people have a right to know. Just as we all know Clinton sent the Army in to take a hostage for interrogation or torture in Somalia. We all remember that Op called Operation Black Hawk which failed and became Operation Black Hawk Down.

I truly believe in the quality of reporting seen on 60 Minutes, howevere I have watched my last 60 Minutes' hosted by Lesley Stahl. Her questioning and reporting on the story "Hard Measures" was the most naive and biased reporting ever seen on 60 Minutes. Remove Lesley Stahl from the reporting crew for 60 Minutes before any further damage is done to this great show.

I am a vicitim of EIT's, not be the CIA, but by state and local police. I support Mr. Rodriguez. He did what he has done his entire career, made sure that Americans were safe. But most of all, I respect him because he took responsibility for his actions. I think when someone is accountable and takes responsibility, they will operate within the law. This has not been the case for me. The police have sleep deprived me, given me a heart attack, sexually assaulted me and continue to torture me today. All of this was done to cover their own crimes. I have not committed any crimes. After 46 months, they would have arrested me. Instead they hide behind the fact that this weapon is not public knowledge. Every victim of this weapon is labeled a schizoprenic. My brother has been a police officer for over 35 years (in another state) and my uncle was killed in the line of duty. I even was the major witness spending over 30 hours in 4 days helping NNPD solve the murder of one of their own in 1980. However, they continue to torture me to this day to get away with crimes they committed against me. They get away with their crimes, because if the public knew about this weapon, it would be banned. It is a violation of civil rights, human rights, and is torturous. I wrote to John McCain and he told me I gave him some useful information. I have two clients that are weapons systems developers for the military, so I can tell you the weapon is real. Two things I know, first, the police doesn't want the public to know about it and second, any victim of the weapon will be labeled schizoprenic. (I was told by the Psychiatrist, that this was a state police sting.) I have reported the facts to a few Commonwealth Attorneys (they claim they don't have the resources to investigate) and to the Governor of Virginia. But the torture continues. I was flat lined twice during one instance. It appears that the secrecy of the weapon is more important than civil rights, human rights, reputations, and very life itself. (They have admitted to killing an unarmed man.) I am confident that Mr. Rodriguez's actions were justified and that he saved many American lives. I respect him for taking responsibility for his actions and believe is a man of honor and integrity. There needs to be, as Mr. Rodriguez said himself, accontability. If there were, this wouldn't be happening to me. Where do you turn? Me, I hope to meet a man like Mr. Rodrigeuz. I think he would make it stop. He follows the law and has respect for the judicial system. He is honest and courageous! I enjoyed his book and wish him all the best in his next career. I thank him for his service! God Bless Him!

If making these guys suffer lead to one American life saved, just one, would those of you on this board opposed to torture still say torture was a bad idea?

What if that life saved were your son or brother?

Do any of you all opposed to torture honestly believe that zero American lives were saved by torturing these guys?

I don't know why the big deal with these procedures, I don't see any complaining about TWO nuclear bombs used at Japan, THAT IS 10,000 times worse. HYPOCRESY ON MORAL VALUES IS AN AMERICAN TRADE MARK.
