Is Obama campaigning on bin Laden death?

Following a campaign speech by Vice President Joe Biden, CBS News Radio White House correspondent Peter Maer asked White House press secretary Jay Carney if the Obama campaign was politicizing of Osama bin Laden, at the one year anniversary of his killing.

Let me see if I understand you, Peter Maer. According to you (and apparently also to CBS) it is inappropriate for a president to campaign for re-election based on the accomplishments of his administration during the president's first term.

Or, maybe I missed the point of your interrogation of Jay Carney. Is it CBS' position that killing Bin Laden was not an accomplishment, or that it was inappropriate?

Please help me out here.

CBS has no problems supporting the Republican Party by attacking the strengths of the Democratic candidate for President.

That's right, Osama Bin Laden was killed under Obama's watch, and we should all thank him and SEAL 6 for that. Obama is bad4ss **********.
