O God in heaven, I pray for the Mike Wallace's family who has lost their precious family member. I know that your Holy Spirit is the Comforter and I pray that you would give them comfort. Turn their mourning and sorrow into the joy of knowing that our brother in "Christ" Mike Wallace is now with you in heaven and is at peace.
I can see our brother "Mike" in Heaven looking down over us saying, "I'm in a better place now and I'm at rest." Lord, help his family to see your power and to rejoice in anticipation of being reunited with their loved ones in the future.
Lord, I pray that brother Mike Wallace was able to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior while he was living among us. Your word tells us to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord and we pray that Mike Wallace's family will be consoled by the promises and truth of your word. The bible tells us that weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning. I pray that friends of the family will be a support system and a shoulder to lean on in the days and months ahead. Let the good that Mike did while he was with us be remembered and celebrated.
We will always hold memories of our beloved brother Mike Wallace in our hearts and help us to live a better life in honor of his journalistic approach to main events, brought to the millions of households through the media.
Thank you Father for healing his family of their pain of missing our brother in "Christ" Mike Wallace. Strengthen them in knowing that death is not the final chapter of our lives, but a transition to be with our maker and live for eternity. We honor you "Oh-Heavenly Father" for everything that you've done in our lives and help us to use this time of reflection to change anything in our lives that you don't agree with. Forgive us of any and all of our sins, known and unknown.
My Brother In "Christ" I personally want to thank you for helping me to see current events as you saw them and reported to us during your weekly and sometime daily broadcast. God blessed you, brother, Wallace with a gift as a journalist and you used it for over 50 years to share your opinions with millions across this nation. As a young teenager in the sixties, I remembered brother, Wallace you reporting on several Civil Rights issues especially on the death of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as always you reported the facts and the truth. In my personal opinion, you were respected in the African American Community.
While I believe that only God is the giver of Life, I also believe that he knows when our final hour will be and the bible admonishes all of us to be ready for when our final hour will come. You were ready brother Mike and I pray that you had all your affairs in order. I pray that you rest in a well deserve peace. Rest well, Brother Mike Wallace. Rest well!
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
