Colleagues,
County Public In response to your News about Brevard County last night, April 1, 2012. Please inform the families to check with theirBrevard Health Office for assistance for medical needs. Also, let the gentleman who had problems acquiring his prescriptions to check with the Pharmeceutical Company that makes the product. Many times the company has programs for people who cannot afford their medication. Also check with the local pharmacies. Pharmacies have PADD programs which help people obtain their medications. Thank you Sara Ryan-Turner RN, MSN, PHN Brevard County resident

Shame on CBS and Scott Pelley. You did a hatchet job on President Obama with no apologies. Where was your information on the Constellation program authorized by the Bush admin. Costing Billions of taxpayer dollars to private defense contractors and with not one tangible thing to show for it? Where was your information showing layoffs at KSC started as soon as the Constellation project was authorized? Where was your information showing that the economy in Brevard started to slide downhill since late 2006 early 2007? Where was your information showing that there are currently private contractors operating at KSC who have already hired some laid off employees? It is your job to report facts, not to so severely slant a story so that it looks as if President Obama is to blame for Brevard Counties economic woes.

I cried watching those sincere, earnest, talented people lament the loss of their purpose in life--at least until they find another one. I was a teeny part of this as an exec with the Aerospace Industries Assn in the 70s--it was exciting. Then this was followed by a smug anti-sugar preacher and some richy-riches buying refuse as art and I thought--wow, guess who I want to have a beer with.

My heart goes out to all the people that lost their jobs because of the space program cuts. When I lost my job, health insurance and prescription drug coverage, The first thing I did was go on line to every drug manufacturer for my medications and sought out their patience assistance program. NO ONE should jeopardize their health when there is help out there. But you have to go to them for the help, if a drug manufacturer does not have a program contact your doctor for a alternative medication. I'm diabetic, still out of work, take 5 medications daily, including insulin, all provide to me at no charge. But you have to do the leg work, most doctors don't even know these programs exists! Programs are out there for free eye exams and glasses, please, be your own health advocate!

Thank you for this expose on the reality of how the cut backs in the space program have impacted not only what was once the greatness of our country, but how much harm has been caused to the people who made the space program happen. Do you at CBS finally realize how your support of a non-qualified fast talking left-wing idealist with no common sense about the former greatness of America helped to sink our country? Do you finally get it Mr. Pelley? I've listened to you and your station for a long time wondering when you would wake up. Oh, and the Congress who made things worse, it was the Democrat lead Congress. I want my country back; the one the media sold out!
