Old cowboy told me that in order to train a horse, you had to be smarter than the horse, "and I am," he said. "But just..."
The same thing applies to kids: I had an IQ of 160 when I was in the 2nd grade.

I think it is a good idea! Everything is slowly changing. Life as we know it will no longer be the SAME. We have to change along with change or we will be left behind! Old habits are hard to break, for what ever reason; look at it this way>>>a 40 year old men STILL wearing diapers would be casted a side and rendered useless....if he's lucky!

Khan Academy is a really cool tool for teaching math at school and at home. But it's only one tool, which on its own cannot drive the change needed.

NaMaYa has initiated the "No Child Held Back" consortium of school officials, teachers, parents, students, and community members. NCHB has a vision to create an effective, flexible, student-centered education system that helps all students achieve their full academic and personal potential.

We want to move away from a test-based education, to an environment that looks at each child as an individual and gives schools, teachers and parents all the tools needed to customize learning to the each child's needs It also includes professional development and training for teachers, educators and parents to equip them with the knowledge they need for changes and challenges ahead.
