- Congratulations and best regards to Archbishop Martin for his courage and integrity in confronting the sex abuse situation in the Irish church with honesty and courage. He is one of the FEW bishops who still deserves to be in the catholic hierarchy. He suggested that as many at three quarters of the Irish bishops were implicated in the coverup of sexual abuse. As of now, I believe only 2 or 3 have stepped down. The rest have stayed in place, including the primate of Armagh, the official head of the catholic church in Ireland. Shame on these corrupt and criminal old men who have protected child rapists, and Kudos to men of courage and conviction like Archbishop Martin for confronting them. When I saw this video of his interview, at the part where he cried, I cried myself. As a sincere Catholic American of 100% Irish descent, I am appalled and ashamed of the hierarchy of my church , both in my own country and my ancestral country for their criminal behavior. If they were not bishops, they would be in jail right now for being accessories to sexual crimes. And that's where MOST of them SHOULD be!!!, Again, God love and bless you , archbishop Martin , for your courage and honesty. If you are not rewarded by the church in this life for your integrity, (and you probably WON'T be!) , I am SURE God will bless and reward you in this life and the next, which is more than can be said about the majority of bishops in the church. I will always remain a catholic, but I will no longer contribute to a church whose agenda appalls me and whose hierarchy I see as not only immoral and corrupt, but criminal and perverted! - I was abused by a Priest from the Green Bay Dieocese from 1960 to 1967.His name is Jerome M. Koerner. He has never been brought to Justice.He was assigned to the Parish of Kaukauna , Holy Cross Church.My name is Gary Siebers. 619-316-2369.I believe he is living in Depere, Wisconsin. In my search, I see that he may be involved with the friendship organization in Dodgeville, WI. I would like to stop him from further abuse. I recently joined SNAP, I posted my story there.If you can help me , please help me.
