When Yeshua (Jesus) returns, He will not be coming to the Vatican in Rome. He will not be coming to the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City. He will not be coming to the Crystal Cathedral nor any other opulent palace erected by one of the megachurches!
Behold, He is coming to His Beloved JERUSALEM, where He will set foot on the Mount Of Olives. Then He shall fight against the enemies of His Chosen People, His Jewish People, which are coming against them at Jerusalem. Then He will command that all the Nations come up to Jerusalem to celebrate Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles (not one of the Catholic man-made feasts)
Zechariah 14
The LORD Comes and Reigns
1 A day of the LORD is coming, Jerusalem, when your possessions will be plundered and divided up within your very walls.

2 I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city. 3 Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights on a day of battle. 4 On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south. 5 You will flee by my mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake[a] in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.

6 On that day there will be neither sunlight nor cold, frosty darkness. 7 It will be a unique day—a day known only to the LORD—with no distinction between day and night. When evening comes, there will be light.

8 On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it east to the Dead Sea and half of it west to the Mediterranean Sea, in summer and in winter.

9 The LORD will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name.

10 The whole land, from Geba to Rimmon, south of Jerusalem, will become like the Arabah. But Jerusalem will be raised up high from the Benjamin Gate to the site of the First Gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the royal winepresses, and will remain in its place. 11 It will be inhabited; never again will it be destroyed. Jerusalem will be secure.

12 This is the plague with which the LORD will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. 13 On that day people will be stricken by the LORD with great panic. They will seize each other by the hand and attack one another. 14 Judah too will fight at Jerusalem. The wealth of all the surrounding nations will be collected—great quantities of gold and silver and clothing. 15 A similar plague will strike the horses and mules, the camels and donkeys, and all the animals in those camps.

16 Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. 17 If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, they will have no rain. 18 If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain. The LORD[b] will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. 19 This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.

The Catholic Church is not, has never been the "True Church"...
Yeshua (Jesus), the Disciples, all the early Believers, including Yeshua's mother were all Jewish! The New Testament as well as the Old Testament, was written by Jewish Believers. Yeshua did not leave behind a Gentile Catholic Church!
The Catholic Church participated not only in the recently exposed child molestation & cover-ups, it has also participated in the persecution, torture and murder of Jews throughout its entire history. You cannot be saved merely by membership in a church, as if you have to be a member of the "True Church" like joining the right club...you can only be saved by realizing your spiritually bankrupt condition, repenting of your sins (In Hebrew, Teshuvah, which means a total turning away from sin) and accepting the free gift of Salvation through the Atonement of the Lamb of God, Yeshua HaMashiach(Yeshua (Jesus) the Jewish Messiah!!!

I agree with the comment about women. This is what happens in institutions run by (supposedly) celibate old men. If women were allowed a greater role in the church. (like becoming PRIESTS!!!!), a LOT of this nonsense would stop,or at least be better controlled. The fact of the matter is , the overwhelming majority of sexual predators and abusers of children are MEN. The influence of women in the church would be healthy and wholesome. Patrick O'Neill

Pope Benendict has personally reached out to, listened to testimonies of victims, acknowledged the evil acts of wayward priests, asked for forgiveness, and prayed for the healing of the victims and their families.
What have the countless other religious denominations done to begin the healing process for their victims?
And...let's not stop looking within our religious institutions. Where is the outrage for the thousands... and growing, number of children who are sexually abused within our public school systems? This rampant abuse of innocent children occurs in all of our major institutions, and is a sympton of something within our culture that is deeply dis-ordered and disturbing!

Children much younger than 8 years old have been abused. Simple research regarding American Indian reservations will turn up cases of horrible abuse of all ages. I read one written by the older sister of a 3 year old. It will haunt me forever.

While the interview about child sexual abuse in the Catholic church this past Sunday was much needed and appreciated, society's last secret still remains in the closet: female sexual abuse of children. It is a topic that defies everything we believe or want to believe about women and mothers, and yet it happens every day.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention month. As a survivor of such abuse, and as a psychotherapist, I would like to see a follow up to this story that addresses this hidden, yet prevalent form of abuse. If you would like a link to publications in academic journals where I've chronicled this type of abuse, or for a more telling account through my memoir, The Sunday Wishbone, please don't hesitate to contact me, or access these publications on my website: www.marytshannon.com.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Kind regards,
Mary T. Shannon, MSW, MS

Archbishop Diarmuid Martin's closing comment, "There's still a long path to journey in honesty before we can truly merit forgiveness", is consistent with the man. He knows better than most that another tsunami of revelations is going to break that will link up and highlight internationally the concealment of abuses of the children across the human family and not just those contained inside national boundaries, provinces, dioceses and parishes. The cover up has truly respected no boundaries or decency in the desperate self-preservation attempts of the proselytising members of Catholicism - the Missionary Congregations.

Martin's quote, "Abuse isn't-- it isn't-- it isn't just the, you know, the actual sexual acts, which are horrendous, but sexual abuse of a child is-- it's a total abuse of power. It's actually saying to a child, "I control you." And that is saying to the child, "You're worthless."", focuses on the abuse of power and value of the victim. The power difference offers opportunity to the abuser who satiates their lustful desire for a child. The child is defiled by the incomprehensible sexual act. Abuse has everything to do with the sexual acts contrary to Martin. It is the unbridled lust of an adult who first breaks all conscience in allowing the idea to form to the perpetration and sexual violation of a child. There are so many violations wrapped up in those which are sexual - violations of personal freedom and liberty, violations of the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual boundary of the individual person, violations of the trust relationship, violations of the duty of care, violations of the obligations to the parents or guardians of the child, violations of the social norms and values of decent society, violations of the sanctuary of peace and happiness in the child, violations of the sexual development of the child. The list goes on. Horribly the list goes on. It is unspeakable and unbearable to comprehend the full extent of the violations that echo within every room of the house that is the damaged child. All disregard and disrespect is shown to the dignity of the most vulnerable human person, a child. The perpetrator violates all the bonds of trust for lust. The control is sexual control. The worthlessness is the sexual disposability of a child in satisfying the depraved lusts of an adult. The child so violated is no longer a child within the bonds of family but is a child carrying enormous shame and guilt without the bonds of family - an island unable to speak of it, imprisoned within the monstrousness of the sexual abuse and blaming themselves for it. The child is swallowed up in the darkness of it. They never make normal developed life and always wonder why it is so much seems broken inside and can't ever seem to grasp it. Desperate to be loved they love not themselves.

Men like Archbishop Martin are indeed making a positive difference in leading the Church to healing on this issue. As the victim of priest abuse myself, I know that not all bishops or bishops are bad, and I do not judge the entire Catholic Church on what one man did to me and to many other young men. The bishop did the right thing in suspending him, and Pope Benedict defrocked him. If anyone let me down, it was the DA and laws of my home state that did not allow for a prosecution. But I digress - I have come to believe that many critics really do not want this issue to be resolved, for they really do not care for victims but only about their own hatred of the Catholic Church. Thankfully, Archbishop Martin DOES care, and many others in the Church do as well - clergy as well as laity. We are the ones cleansing the Church and holding the predators accountable. God bless you, Your Excellency.

Great story. But, the Catholic church is the one getting busted. It is happening in EVERY denomination. See stop baptist predators and google within suite101 for church sex abuse. I wish CBS News 60 minutes would broaden their scope. And, I'm not Catholic.
