I agree. There is nothing like the power of the mind. I know people who are taking medications, when all they need is a good ear and someone to talk them through their issues, which are often lenghty. People with mental issues are often self absorbed. When it's pointed out to them that they are not the centre of the earth, that alone can bring them around.If brought around properly,they can often be the right people to help others in a similar situation.

This was a great 60 Minutes segment and very valuable information. The only area which was not persued in enough detail was the fact that placebos, unlike the anti-depressant drugs, do not have side effects! Nor do exercise and talking to someone, both of which help as much as any drug, as the British National Health Service data show...

Good job though. I hope this will be a turning point in our addiction to these medications, many of which have horrendous side effects....
