May Don rest in peace and his family find solace in the fact that he is resting at sea. My heart goes out to them. It's hard to believe that the accused was rescued by Don when his own vessel sank. His kindness was returned by murder.

If you're gonna venture into foreign waters of economically challenged countries...just a matter of time before you get robbed and turned into fish food. It's really a shame for those wanting to live the cruiser lifestyle, but there are bad people everywhere.

I never met Don. I know few of his family members. It was hard to watch them go through this tragedy. I hope they are able to convict the man accused so his mother may be at peace. God bless Don and his family.

How could you put a finger on Luiso by a layman who dared to analyse his body language? not only his body language, posture and behavior were open and sincere but you don't really KNOW anything, right?

WOW! THIS WAS SO TRAGIC' Sorry For The Family's Loss And The Many Friends And Associates' Im pretty amazed at the many comments from people who were actually there and actually met and knew Don, And some that were disappointed by the way this story was covered and handled with the portraying of some people! Except With One Guy That Seems To Universally Portrayed Correctly And Thats Javier Martin=Which Many Hope Gets Exactly What He Deserves....

This story is a perfect example of how the media can accuse someone with no evidence. Why would anyone want to talk to a reporter knowing that they have the power to take what they perceive as the truth and sell it to the public. After reading the comment made by AchuKinnit I had to wonder about the story being put out to the rest of us who don't know where the truth lies. I don't think the questions posed about the man's body language prove guilt. It is a matter of the reporters opinion and how he framed the questions about this man's body language. There is no proof or conclusive evidence of guilt here just accusations. I will reserve my judgement until a case is made about Luiso. Dangerous journalism in my opinion.

I was there went all of this happened. I knew Don North and I also knew Luiso and Nadia aboard the Trimaran. I am not pleased in any way at the "Mike Wallace" ambush filming of Luiso. I was in Chichime when Don gave his debit card to Luiso, as he had done many times over the years. There are no ATM's in the San Blas Islands. I have personally shopped for Don when we took the four day journey to the bank and supermarket and back. Those folks spoke to Luiso, then castigated him as if the were "body language experts" just angers me to no end. I had a volley of e-mails with Don Winner the so-called journalist who was on the show. His work was shoddy and not well researched in my opinion. Luiso and Nadia are friends of mine, just as they were closer friends to Don North. When Luiso sees this video, there is going to be hell to pay for CBS portraying him as a possble accomplice. I have never seen such yellow journalism crammed into one hour.
My wife and I extracted the backpackers from Javiers vessel. When we got them to land, it was Panama's worst recorded weather since they had begun recording weather. All we could provide for the backpackers was a hut with a foot of water standing in it with hammocks just above. We fed and clothed them, and had to remove their belongings from Javier's friend's boat because Javier did not want to refund their money. The friend finally took them on to Cartegna. Javier was obviously going nuts on Chichime Dumat. The night of the New Years Eve party was when the plan by Javiewr was set in motion. I was there and saw it all. This program is a piece of innacurate trash in my opinion. I miss Don. I feel bad for what CBS has done to Luiso. I hope some justice comes out of all of this. Luiso was Don's very best friend and does not deserve to be slandered and portrayed the way CBS portrayed him.

I am glad Don North was able to do what he wanted to do with his life. He looks like a person I would have wanted to know and could have learned lots from. Many people don't "just go for" what they really want in life and at least he did. Happy his nephew (who looks very much like his uncle)was able to recover the gold coins. I think Don's spirit is free and brings positive energy wherever he goes.
