The 2 grandparents need to read about sociopathy. Its a distinct possibility, maybe a probability the one or both will die at the grand daughters hands, shes scary.

Absolutely no conscience, no guilt, regardless of what she does. Grandparents have money.....she wants money, good bye grandparents.

I'm sorry, but all of this stinks to me. Both families seem to me to be in a lot of denial. First off, I'm sorry, you're telling me that Tylar's mom hit her so hard that the mark on her face was visible *the next day*, but we shouldn't wonder whether maybe Tylar really was abused? Bull. No family friend can say with authority that there was no abuse unless she was actually living in the home. I know from experience how nice things can look on the surface, and how ugly they can be underneath. I'm not saying that this would in any way excuse Tylar's behavior, and she probably is a sociopath. I think, though, that this was an extremely messed up family. Look at the grandparents, and look how cheerful they are in talking about all of this. This is just flat weird -- we're talking about your granddaughter having participated in the murder of your daughter, and you're *smiling* and making jokes? All of them -- the grandparents, Steven's mother, Tylar, Steven -- give me the creeps.

all of this for lusty sexual relationship!!! what the hell!

I would maybe understand that Tyler didnt really realise the consquences of her mother dying and specifically murdered by her boyfriend , but Steven is 19 yrs, he should've known better.

if this was by grand daughter i'd never forgive her.

I just watched 20/20 interviewing Tylar in prison. The story and trials were featured. I was shocked that Tylar didn't get the same sentence as "Boston". Tylar showed no emotion or remorse about her mother's murder. Their diaries reveal a lot of hatred towards Tylar's Mom. Steven's mother is weird-totally denying the possibility her son could have done this-in spite of his diary entries and text messages. Why did he go to live with Tylar? Was his home life dysfunctional? Surely he didn't become a monster by himself. And their suicide pact was a joke. They were both too self-centered to follow through. I can think of several very dysfunctional couples, both in Canada and the US, whose toxic relationships drove them to murder. And in all of the cases they turn against each other when both arrested.

How sad, I don't care who did the stabbing, both are guilty and Tyler should get a higher prison time,a good mum is dead for nothing.

I remember similar case when girl and boyfriend ran away when her mother was murdered. The said he killed her and girlfriend had nothing to do with it. Girl insisted that she was kidnapped and gagged by her boyfriend who killed her mom. Does anyone remember this case?

Waow
the prosecutor belive the girl story so easily, it's seems better for her to have one life sentence then two 15 years.
i can just say poor stupid boy he maybe think he will cover and save his( now ex) girl-friend and now spend life time in jail !
If he had spoken first with the prosecutor the roles would be reversed for sure...
work's like that in America
