WHY was the same judge in on both trials? He took the 2nd as a total joke, perverted justice to 'stall' to allow the plea deal to go through. I wonder how many other trials in his career he corrupted justice?

OK they keep talking about forensics.THE THIRD SHOT...the wall is clean around the hole. If he was shot on the floor there would be blood splatter around the hole. The test bucket that was shot near the wall, blood splatter surrounded the hole. so apparently that shot didn't hit him. so... she was not standing above him to finish him off.
not guilty

When you have a Brute of a man that has beaten you and hurt you for so many years and threatened to kill your entire family if you ever left him, then you dont try to leave to protect those you love.I lived in that fear for 11 years till he finally died from a fall.

I am a 54yo man who was molested and beaten by my stepfather from 11 to 18. If I would have had a gun I would have unloaded it into him without a thought and continued to pull the trigger. If you are being beaten and tormented you will do anything to stop it. I feel she did what she had to do.

I think she had every right to shoot him! I am the victim of spousal abuse.I was beaten and kicked and shot at for so many years.Till finally he tried to burn me up in my home. Too bad I never owned a gun.It would have ended before he fell from a tree and died.Let the woman go!

As regards to this case of supposed spousal abuse and its consequence, there isn't adequate evidence to draw a conclusion. However, if a long history of abuse is in evidence, the person that has sustained such abuse and has tried unsuccessfully in finding relief from it, then the abused has every right to protect themselves even if that protection results in the death of the abuser. Justifiable homicide.

There are times when murder is justified in self-defense cases; but I'm not sure about this one. Charlene's husband history of abusive language and physical assaults is proven. She believed at that time she had no choice but to shoot him.
She had choices of conflict resolution with her husband at other times that doesn't involve shooting somebody: family counselling, divorce, separation..l . This one I'm not so sure is justifiable, she had motive and money was a factor. Her daughter pointed out that she could be provoke or instigate arguments.

This woman is a con artist...Totally unbelievable...What happened to the hysterical tears when she was cross examined?...phoney and I can't believe that one lone trouble making juror let her get a mistrial...I hate FAKE TEARS! ..That poor guy wouldn't hurt a flea after the bike accident, the son called him a pussycat...They brought up an incident from 5th grade?...grasping at straws..hope she gets the death penalty...

A woman I knew, the mother of a very good friend of mine, had a restraining order placed on her husband, whom she was separated from, and he violated that order 17 times. Each time she took him to court and each time he got a slap on the wrist or a little jail time and then released. The 18th time he violated the order, she was set to take him back to court at 8 a.m. the next morning. When her daughter showed up to take her to court, the daughter found her mother dead outside the house, along with the husband. He had killed her and then killed himself. Looking back, I would say she would have been justified in killing him if she had so chosen. The children would have lost a father, but at least they would have still had their mother. Everybody loses because the justice system can't protect a person against crazy. Sometimes you've got to protect yourself.
