Amazing how life could be glamours to others and yet bitter to others. Look at this link, people dying to have water http://******/9s6Gr

Wonderful interview. Some years ago ago I had the pleasure of serving Meryl Streep on an American Airlines flight from LA to JFK. I must admit, I became somewhat weak in the knees upon seeing her board. I spoke with her only briefly as it was an all-nighter to New York. Funny thing. After having her aboard the flight, I never so much think of her as an amazing actress, as much as I see her now as an extremely classy lady.

No secret "the blamee" has to b Dustin Hoffman! Can't understand why anyone would have negative reactions to a terrific actor, mom, friend, woman and person! Her talent is second to none!
Delightful piece, just wish it was longer segment. May sound cornet, but her acting allows me to shut out the bad things in the world and be transformed for at least the time watching her perform. Thank you Meryl...the world is a better place just knowing you are in it!
More please!

I enjoyed the interview. I thought it was delightfully lite. I hope Streep wins an Oscar this time if she is nominated

Replying to "theblamee": Why be so nasty? It's pure joy watching someone as talented as Meryl Streep. People like her add a great deal to the lives of those of us who are mediocre. I take it "theblamee" is also mediocre?

Professionally, Meryl is in her own league.. Personally, she is delightfully open, candid and honest with no apologies required. I.thoroughly enjoyed this glimpse into her lovely personality.

Meryl Streep is a supreme actor, but she exhibits the same narrow focus on her "art", at the expense of principles, that afflicts many well-paid, self-centered people garlanded with outsize success. Margaret Thatcher became famous for waging war on the working class in the interests of the privileged. She devastated living standards for millions of people, including those of a generation of actors in England. Yet all Streep sees is a woman of "conviction" (what "conviction" would that be, Meryl?) who inspired her and in whom she sees much of herself. One more reason to drop actors down several notches as somehow worthy of adoration in popular culture.
