Especially interested in the fact Agriculture is one of the causes from Nitrogen Fertilizer use & ground Water runoff.

As exclusive retailers for Los Jardnes de La Reina in Cuba, we know this place is extremely special. With 20+ sharks on just about every dive, goliath grouper that 'buddy' you and the most beautiful and healthy reefs, Jardines is truly one of the last unspoilt reef systems there is. For divers, dive groups and clubs, the live-aboards operate on a weekly rotation from a Saturday to Friday throughout 11 months of the year, excluding September. Whale sharks are also often seen in November and early December on their migration. Bookings are taken 3 years in advance, and only 700 divers are permitted to visit this special place each calendar year. For trips here, mail me at john@thescubaplace.co.uk or see www.thescubaplace.co.uk

I have dived around Florida's east coast and the Bahamas and have never seen a reef that healthy. The fact is that we are screwing things up! Anyone who can deny this has his head up a grouper's... mouth!

ReefRescue and 2sync,
Sorry but you guys seem to be missing the point of the interview. I'm sure Mr. Guggenheim has been to Florida and seen the healthy population of Goliath Groupers. This interview is about quite probably the best preserved marine spot in Caribbean (Florida would be the Atlantic). The fact that 60 minutes and Anderson Cooper are there to conduct it is even more impressive.
BTW, I've been to Jardines 4 times in three years and the place is IMPRESSIVE!!

Wow, beautiful! So great to see sharks and Goliath grouper in an unspoiled setting the way it should be. We need more global coverage on the state of the oceans so we can realize the damage already done, and take steps to repair the consequences of so many man-made mistakes.

wow, too bad mr guggenheim has never been to florida where goliath grouper are common, and often much larger than those seen in this footage from cuba. it is a fisheries management success story for florida, and well known. indeed, there is mounting pressure among fisherman in florida to allow fishing of this top predator. still, good to see footage from cuba that shows the condition of the reef.
