Why do we need to raise more money ? Our govt.stuffs millions of dollars into the pockets of corrupt polititians abroad and wastes money in this country, but cant house and educate its own kids.Shame on us for letting them get away with it and supporting this abuse !

How can we as American's see a story like this without wanting to know how we can all help. In the past 5 years I've seen many families having to help each other to the point of stretching their few dollars to the breaking point and even moving multiple generations of families into the same residence just to make ends meet to feed the children. Some of the millionairs and billionairs should give willingly to these types of charitable organizations to help the homeless children of this country. What can we do? Volunteer more, give more then you think you can, share with neighbors whatever it takes to make sure children dont go hungry.

What touched my heart about this story the most, was the children still feeling loved, despite the circuimstances. Doesn't our goverment officials we elected, have access to the CBS web site???

this is absolutely horrifying that children would have to think about something like this in our country. our government hemorrhages money for money's sake and things like this are allowed to happen. people wonder why half the country is so angry, those of us that are want to know why the rest of you aren't...
these kids and their parents have borne one of the worst things that plague any human, the question of safety.
isn't that what our government said they were trying to do, keep us safe? why don't they start at home first?
