Should elected officials hold themselves to a higher standard when it comes to conflicts of interest?

This guy seems like what we want in a congressman. Yet, like life we 'pretend' and 'fantasize' about how superior we all are to the common teabagger or liberal elitist.

Honor, Duty, Code, Country.

Thank you for runing this story i had ask you'll several weeks ago to run a story like this but i would love to know how much money Bush and Chenny made the american people need to wake up the sit around waiting for it to change instead of doing something. I have even made room on my facebook where people can write and i will send the letter to the reps or Sen. Im a Vietnam vet and this is not the freedoms i fought for.Right now im trying to get the people that complain in the lab at the Lafayette LA clinic to write me about there complaints they byt about in the blood draw room and they don't. One man can't change the system but a united front can thats why i support the Occupy Wall Street.AARP sould endorse them also these people are out there trying to bring this country back. I was glad to see some millionaires want the bush tax cuts stoped i was wondering where there any CEO of any major oil companys willing to give there fair share the tax cut have not created any jobs in the oil field. Also hands are out there working in unsafe conditions because they have cut so many jobs sometime you have only one man on a platform where if something happens he may not be able to contact anyone also the shape of some of the sturtures has fallen inm sure i use to work for a major oil company and CEO make there bonus off what work we do Thanks again

Now I know why the Washington Mafia does not want Ron Paul to become President. They are all corrupt.

I just started a facebook page to push our governmental officials own up to their involvement or face the consequences. Don't let corrupt politicians remain in office. Don't reward those that remain silent. Insist they reveal their position on this highly exploitative activity.
They are our elected officials and we can remove them.

Send yor emails to whitehouse.gov, you elected state officals, get your friends and family to do the same. We need to let them know enough is enough!
Congressional Reform Act
1. No Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/12. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

If any 'legit' reporter is ready to investigate a real 'soft, sneaky, slimeball' scam from at least one memeber of Congress; contact me. I don't know how they live with themselves!

Next story should include the CME exchange. It is legal for commodity traders to trade on insider information. Now consider the fact that you can buy futures on weather and crops on this exchange. Next consider the fact that Geo engineering weather has been going on for many years. This has been carefully hidden and denied at all levels of government world wide. If you know that the daily high is not going to be met you can win big. Same is true for extreme weather. google-"chemtrails" "weather derivatives"

It seems we need to hire 60 Minutes as our watchdog to keep members of Congress honest. If we could somehow come together and vote these dishonest Congressmen out. Granted, there would be few incumbents left but we must find a way to take back our Government.

I suggest to all the readers to write their congressman and ask them to co-sponsor and support the STOCK ACT featured in 60 Minutes story on Nov. 13 or they will not have your vote next election run.
