Republicans = Democrats = BOUGHT politicians.

I was a staunch supporter of the GOP for 30 plus years. I am no longer. Have I switched to the Dems??

Heck no they are just as bad!

I realized that too many people think "their party" is wonderful and will make things better. In reality all the politicians are bought and will do what their masters tell them to do. We don't live under a democracy nor a republic. We are living under a plutocracy and have been for probably close to 140 years.

Yay Republicans they will save the day. No - Yay Democrats they will make everything great. No - Yay Republicans they are the best. No - Yay Democrats they really care for the average person. Obama messed up the country! No Bush messed up the country!

Blah Blah Blah

I hate to break the news but time for all of us to stop waving our favorite party's banner.

DNC = GOP = Totally incompetent and bought politicians.

I just have to say this and hate to pop people's bubble. ALL politicians are BOUGHT!! Stop waving the Democrat or Republican flag like you are at a sporting event. It's not the NBA Finals or World Series or the SuperBowl. STOP thinking that your favorite party will save the day. STOP thinking that your local congressman or congreswoman is above all that is wrong in Washington. Just come to the fact that they are all BOUGHT!

Our founding fathers would be sickened by what our government has turned into. I no longer "wave the flag" of a party anymore. I used to wave the Republican flag but they now disgust me! The Democrats disgust me also!

Ask yourself - what would have Washington, Adams, Jefferson have thought of our present system? Where giant corporations (including the banking and financial industry) give large sums of money to the campaigns of politicians. Where lobbyists for powerful & wealthy special interest groups and large corporations freely walk the halls of congress and participate in "legalized bribery" . A country where now we have "something" called super pacs.

I can honestly say and am 100% sure that our founding fathers would never have approved!

While we argue back and forth in support of our favorite party and bash the other party we are robbed blind right under our noses.

60 MINUTES, your re-running this program is a GIFT to the citizens of this country. Many are just coming into the age to vote. November is a big deal. We must vote and we ALL MUST vote. We need to know and we need to be reminded how our BIG BAD GOVERNMENT OPERATES. Heaven help us, and GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Give me a break 60 minutes. With all the current scandals involving the Obama Administration, this in-the-tank program decides to re-run a segment from last year regarding a six year old story that just happens to put a bad light on the Republican congress and help Obama's anti-Rebulican congress agenda.

As long as we're discussing evil Washington lobbying... how about doing a story on the current president who promised not to hire lobbyist, then filled the White House with loads of them.

Or how about doing a story on giving Obama campaign money bundlers billions in tax payer dollars as a pay back?

Gee 60 Minutes... if you're truly looking for corruption stories, there's plenty; you need not go back six years for it. It's right under your noses.

One more example of how the gifts of our American system can be abused by those willing to put themselves first at all cost over the good of the whole..and we all pay for it. It offends my senses, when individuals like Ambramoff, former Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski, a number of CEOs connected to the mortgage/financial market mess, etc. benefit from the freedoms of being an American and the possible rewards of a capitalistic society without regulating their own ethics and morals and then tell us we need more laws, regulations and enforcement to keep them from doing harm. Really! Are we going to buy that line...it sounds like the logic of 4 year old children...Just wondering if it is time to start profiling people/leaders who are trying harder to do their jobs in a more thoughtful and enriching way rather than just those who are abusing our system. What would it take or who can help us evaluate and find the bright, humble, mature, experienced people that we might want to support. I don't typically speak up....but I am just getting so tired of the shallow nature of the conversation. While there is benefit in understanding the weaknesses in the system and abuses (even if not against the law). I don't really care to contribute to the personal promotion of those who abuse the system. It would also help me so I know who to get behind and support to make America great again. There has to be more people that feel the same way. We have jobs and are busy people, we need better information on our leaders and our systems so we can put our limited energy behind people, causes etc. that are sincerely committed to a better America bright and selfless. Please tell me that Ivy league-level/brightest Americans who often end up as our leaders have a larger perspective than what is in their best interest. Where in the emotional intelligence to go with the intellectural gifts? Where is the courage? I may have waited too long to speak...I may have turned my thoughts and words into a rant.
