I saw the movie Casino Jack and it brought back some memorys of SE Fla. and the Keys ie: the Greek connection. My father FIXED TICKETS 60 years ago as a Republican city elected official . The buying of Votes is a universal fact and the corruption in our system evident. If the Elected Official are not held responsible then it falls back to the WE THE PEOPLE. In the Criminal Justice System you say everybody is a thief? It is just a question of how much? WE THE PEOPLE are ultimately at fault. WE THE PEOPLE elect public official who smoke crack we elect Public Officials who have stold. In FL. elected Gov. Rick Scott whose company Columbia Health stold BILLIONS of Medicare Money and paid a Billion Federal Fine. Our Governor left the company with 100 million dollars in 1997 and he spent 70 million dollars to become elected. If Public Official get a "GET OUT OF JAIL CARD" then "WE THE PEOPLE" are at fault.

Typical of 60 minutes. Giving some slimeball primetime as if he is someone important, and slanting the piece towards one political party. Lobbying should be illegal - period!! But, it goes on with both political parties. Your interview and show made no mention of Democrats - the only party named was the Republicans, and the only President mentioned was Bush - why am I not surprised!!!!

Here's what we must do: TAX ALL POLITICAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS!!! Any donations over $500 should have a tax, 10 to 20% that goes to the public debt.

If our politicians are being bought, the American taxpayers deserve to take a cut out of the pot. What do we lose if there are a few campaign TV commercials? How many millions of dollars are being paid to influence our elected leaders and where do these monies come from? They come from the taxpayers through higher insurance fees, higher union dues, higher consumer prices...all collected and funneled up the the lobbyist who pays off a politician.

And have the IRS audit all of these contributions.

Where's the negative in this idea?

Dont get mad, get even. Its a good time to establish a new political party one that will be corrupt for your needs. With social networking you can create a good economic incentive for your own corrupt congressman. Stop calling yourselfs democrats and republicans and stop giving them money. Take your money pool it and create a new party with a new platform and pay your own congressman. Man is corrupt, we are all sinners recognize it and accept it you will see the way to deal with it.

We don't live in a democracy, we live in a monetocracy. Washington DC is a business where the direction of the country is bought by whomever is rich enough to buy it. I'm so glad this injustice is finally a concern.

America is obsessed with money ever since the TV series, Dallas, appeared. This mind set is killing this country.
