Very impressive. Can someone please tell me what the App is called. Tried finding it straight after the show last night but was unable to. This has gven me new hope in what I do.

I am going this afternoon to pick up a new iPad for my young son. He is 10, nonverbal w/autism. I won it thru a local dental office's photo contest. I am sooo excited and can't wait to see all the possibilities this device will open to my son. It's a shame insurance won't cover these devices, when it's pretty apparent they are so benefitial to these children.

My 4-year old who has autism just discovered my iPad (on loan from my school), and it's incredible what he's been doing with it! If only insurances would cover tools like this!

I am the mother of a child that has Chromosome 3-p deletion. This is a very rare condition. There are only a handful of case studies that have been done in the world. This condition has many similarities to autism. i was told that my son, Quincy, was working at a 2 to 3 year level. He has only about 15 words that he can speak. These words are approximations of the word. He also has about the same signs he can use to tel us his needs. This past month has been a huge step forward for us. His para at school decided to make flash cards to see exactly what Quincy would do. She tested Quincy with 96 different words and names. He only missed 13 out of the 96. Quincy has been using the Tango but it is very complex. This has lead us to try new avenues for Quincy and at his yearly IEP meeting yesterday, the assistive technology lady told us about the proloquo2go. I am very excited to try this app to see exactly what Quincy knows. Thank you so much. I believe this app will make a huge difference in the lives of not only autistic people but children and adults with the so many different conditions that prevent them from communicating their wants and needs.
