The Texas killing fields murderer is either a cop or an ex cop,or someone who is really close to the investigation, cop is the feeling i have. Someone who can easily gain the trust of the victims...good luck.

My condolences to Krystal Baker's mother, but there is no way Krystal could resemble Marilyn Monroe other than coincidence, since the last name Baker was given to Marilyn Monroe by her mother and taken from Marilyn's mother's first husband who was not Marilyn's biological father.

My condolences to the families of these missing girls. I can't imagine losing a child and my heart goes out to all of them! In my opinion after watching the story I think that the person responsible for some of these murders may be someone that the girls felt comfortable and safe with like someone in law enforcement or somebody in a uniformed field. I don't think all the girls were killed by the same person because if so he has been killing for over 30 years and I would think after that length of time that someone would have escaped or lived to tell who it is(maybe).I don't think at 12 and 13 they would hitchhike either,I think a ride was offered by someone that they felt at ease with. I think it may be copycat killers or even 2 people involved in some of these murders. I don't think the movie is something I will watch because I am not going to give the person or persons responsible for these murders the benefit. I agree with alot of the comments that were left regarding this story. To Crystal Garner-the friend of Krystal Baker:I am sorry that you lost your friend.I know what it's like to lose a close friend when you're young because I lost mine and can relate to you. Be strong and pray that the killer or killers of these girls are caught and justice is served!!

The Father, Laura's father I believe, the father who received the taunting letter in the mail. I would like to point out that it appeared to say, "I tampered with evidence". If this is factual then I think it signals that someone involved in law enforcement may be behind at least some of the murders. Did anyone else catch that?

okay, so the murderer can just be anybody. The police force in America is corrupted or just plain retarded most of the places around. Especially NY, God has forsaken that city.
I'm not surprised of the murderer is one of the police. I mean had they even came up with that idea? Girls get picked up by someone obviously in a car. Most likely a police car, to cut that mistrust between stranger and civilian.

I have yet to watch the 48 Hours episode, but I HAVE seen the movie TEXAS KILLING FIELDS. I have to agree with many reviewers and say that the film is very confusing and seems haphazardly thrown together. I doubt it helped the investigation in any way.

As to the theory of a law enforcement officer being involved, anything's possible. There are also many police impersonators in the world as well.

To the ignorant New Yorker, crime is rampant all over the country AND the world. America just has a more sensationalized media.

This story is very sad. I cannot understand how anyone could be so damn cruel as to kill another human being. I pray that they catch this serial killer or killers. Whoever you are you will be caught, sooner or later.

This is a huge geographical and densely populated. The Texas Monthly writer guy acts like it's all "hicks and sticks" here as the freeway stretches south, and it's not. I grew up here, and with the oil industry, NASA and maritime industries you can meet almost any type of person, from any walk of life, from any where in the World. This is not po-dunk USA.

I doubt it's just one guy killing everyone, but several that have overlapped over the years. It is very sad. RIP to the victims and condolences to the families.
