Why Mormon characters for Broadway?

September 25, 2011 5:30 PM

Subversive, satirical, and sold out

I think you guys are Hilarious but on that note why now? Kinda makes me wonder if this isn't a kind of political attack on the republican candidate. Not the first time these guys have done political satire. Yeah its funny but I honestly feel it has an agenda......

Anyone who is upset about the content of this show has never sat down and watched it.

Did you understand anything that was just said about these guys? it's one thing to insult people like all of YOU are doing, but Parker and Stone use humour and satire to make one of the most intelligent, thought provoking shows in an unexpected manner. Yes it's comedy but it can have meaning as well.

I think they can put on any play they want, but I don't think I'd go see this even if they paid me to.

It's like what we say in utah about taking a mormon fishing. If you take one, he'll drink all your beer. If you take two or more, they won't touch it.

Firstly, this show is not for children. It is not on at a time when children should be watching it, and it is explicitly rated M. Secondly, it's not causing the youth of today to act in the way we all find universally offensive. They ridicule faux teen angst and anti-social behavior just as much as religion. And they soften the blows when the characters have good hearts. The only ones they don't spare are the relentlessly and cluelessly self-righteous and self-important and those characters are rarely religious.

Good to see that there are still people out there who care for good, something these two fellows have the least concern for. They teach children and teens alike that it is good to use foul language, be disrespectful and just do whatever they like. No wonder that teen pregnancies are on the rise, that drug use amongst teens are on the rise, that cases of rape and other violent crimes especially against woman are on the rise but of course they wont care because money is so much more important than a human life, self respect and all that stuff that give people inner peace. Realistically they are but one contributor of an ever increasing number of groups who promote a culture that is corrosive to the safeties that keep families together and happy. South Park was a step down and you have to have a cave man mentality to enjoy it, leave your intelligence and sense out of it and a brick would be smarter than someone who enjoys this show, but bricks don not have any intelligence so......

I resent your blasphemous and your perverted mindset. I resent your south park program and it's dark, bizarre, diabolic, demonic, perverted, evil and vile characters.Your minds are being totally used by demonic powers and it's cohorts. You wonder why the youth of today act the way they do, look at the platform and example you portray. I have children, and would never allow my children or any children that enter my house to watch your so-called cartoon.
I am appalled, and I think many more parents should be appalled and speak up.
