Years ago I watched the documentary that came out. I had just got a satelite and this was the first thing I watched. The documentary about the murders. I remember it being a 2 or 3 part special. I watched and not once did I feel like these boys were guilty. Not once was I convinced that they had anything to do with it. My heart ached for all 3, but especially Damien Echols. I mean the other 2 were not facing death. I was so sad for all 3, but scared to death. It was this case that turned me against the death penalty. I am 43 years old and I do not believe in the death penalty. I wish to some day meet Damien and his wife and tell them how sorry I am. I want to meet all 3 boys and say I am sorry. I wasn't much older then they were when it happened, but I watched their story for over a decade, and you feel like you get to know them. I prayed, and my prayers were answered..I did not find out until tonight, Oct. 8th 2012, that they are free. I am so happy right now. My back hurt and I couldn't sleep so I stayed up..Right now as I close this statement I am going outside and look at the night sky. I am handicap and it's not something I usually do on my own. Tonight I will do it and I will smile and think of all 3, but thank God that Damien's life was spared. I will pray that the true murderer will be found one day, and that the three convicted will be cleared of everything..But now I will go outside and sit and look at the sky at 2:17 a.m .. Just for the 3 who were finally freed, and for Damien's life. I'm not even going to proofread..I'm heading outside :)

I did some reading on the autopsy reports and on the one little boy the pathologist said there were trace amnounts of "carbamazepine" found. Was this ever prescribed to this child? I looked upthis drug and the side effects are drowsiness, etc. If this drug was not prescribed to this child, how then did it get in his system? You need to do a pharacological search of who in that area was on that drug.

Why did Misskelley do 4 confessions? he did have an alibi from his parents if they did it,becasue he said he went away and came back as he didnt want to watch, the small changes from rope to shoelaces being used is only because when you are admitting to a crime, you still have to face a jury and these small things can change the whole case making you look innocent,.One thing to me however was when misskelley mentioned something that to me just did not need to be added to a confession of killing if it wasnt true ,he mentioned that they were swimming in the river Jason and damien prior to the boys arriving, and were taking turns of going up and down in the water,if that didnt happen why would you even say anything like that if it wasnt a part of a real memory,"swimming in the water " would have been enough. The case although doesnt point to their guilt becasue of the confession being talked about,so in hindsight they would have got off,if it were done right, but this is why ive realised police dont test all things,or may add things, simply becasue they believe whom they are convicting to be the killer in cases (although some can get tunnel vision),and if they tested other items ,for intsance that of terry hobbs that came up years later,(which could be transfer dna)that would get them off, cops know this,.even having written this,if i were a juror id have to let them off,if done right,as there was that man with blood that was at the truckstop and when i looked a the photographs to me there are too many suspects,id be thinking maybe a trucker? i noitced trucks that would sleep or rest their trucks parked literally inline to those bodies,,yet other trucks were further away much closer to the restaurant the ones just stopping in,,a big truck, kids peak interest, bikes can be hidden in one ,and the way the bodys were disgarded reminded me of someone that knew they could look all over for the killer but wont find him,cos he isnt in the area, the place was somewhere you would look first for 3 boys,so obvious, and the murderer/s chose to hide nothing, those kids couldnt have rode the bikes over that bridge ,its decieving the look of it ,no child rode across that Those bikes were placed by one person .take one bike drop it off ,go back get the other bike and place it straight beside if 2 ppl even the kids did it thered be more of a distance between the bikes bikes,.thats easy to see, anyway Actions speak louder than words .we will know eventually if they did it by seeing how much research they do in finding the "real killers",and to clear their names also i noticed on one of their sights, appr 4 days after the murder of those boys anniversarys, and after they were realeased there was updates about the ongoing investigations, all about them 3 but no mention of those 3 little boys, this is waht is so sick and twisted that these little boys just got lost in all this evil bs.And wether they did it or not they were noticed ,i feel the children should have had much more focus on them.

I Trust & Believe that these 3 men are and always have been innocent.. the facts of the case do NOT point to or away from these men. the only reason they were convicted is because of the flaws of our justice system.. Jessie Misskelley's interrogation should have never been brought to light therefore jury misconduct is the real reason these boys were convicted..bottom line is this, if he were never pressured into telling them what they wanted to hear they would have never ever been held !!! i truly have sympathy and compassion for these 3 and their families.. also the families of the 3 victims and the town of west memphis arkansas. my hearts go out to you all !!

too many holes in this story. There isnt enough evidence that they did it but then again there isnt enough evidence that they didnt do it!

I think it's true that the celebrity involvement in the case is what pressured the state to set them free.

There was absolutely no physical evidence that the wm3 committed this murder. I think that alone is the reason why a good amount of people (including myself) believe that they are innocent. I've looked into both sides of the spectrum and I cant see how they are guilty. Confessions are not evidence of guilt because there's no way to determine the motive behind those words. Its the duty to prove these men guilty, not their job to prove their own innocence.
