To everyone out there who thinks "this can't happen in my family" I'm here to tell you that it can. It can happen in ANY family. I lost my beautiful 12 year old daughter to bullycide, and as close as she and I were, as much as she told me about EVERYTHING else in her life, she never told me about the bullying at school. I only found out about it after the fact. After my baby had died. Please, if you even hear your child say that they don't like a particular child "just because he/she's mean", find out EXACTLY why they think that child is mean. Keep pushing until you know the truth. Ask your childs rfiends to explain it if necessary. Kimberly had told me on several occasions that the girl who was bullying her was mean. When I asked her why she would say that, Kimberly just replied "she just IS". She never told me she was being hit by this girl every day. Her friends told me about it after the fact. Please. Do whatever needs to be done to protect your children. I only wish I had known sooner...
