Curt did it. He was ***** that night, had a crush on Marilyn and at the same time was probably angry with her for talking his battered fiance into breaking up with him. She might have even set him off that night by saying something about it. Plus the bloody shirt. Curt's wife Debbie definitely acted like a battered wife. It doesn't take long to get reach that stage, and they were married 30 years. I'm glad the family finally has closure, but I wonder why they are including Debbie in the wrongful death suit. She may have withheld evidence all those years but certainly didn't participate in Marilyn's murder.

feel bad for the son and father relationship. son probably thought his dad was a murderer growing up. I see the son wasnt at the cemetery with his dad after the verdict there when they released balloons. Hope he's not still bitter and angry in life.

Forbes did not do this. Fact.........he was too drunk that night to rememeber much. Too many people who either worked with Lane or related to Lane are now dead, including a shift supervisor/uncle of his.

DNA ruled the husband out.

That man was mad, as though he did not do this crime. His wife might have wanted her husband convicted, so she could get him out of her life.

I think the husband killed his wife.

...are they SURE Lane didn't leave work for 30 min?, What did he do for work?, he said him self the dog barks when he comes home? And if Lane was drunk and ***** why no rape? Were they in on it together? I think it's pretty unanimous that Debbie's WAY shady :/ and that Lane is a soft spoken unpredictable "?"

I am convinced that Curtis Forbes did kill that young woman. The phone call that conversation at the jail sealed it. How could that wife of his say he was innocent? She knows he is guilty, she isn't a very good liar!

I believe Curt is guilty. The detectives did not do a good job at all in 1980. However the ones who finally got justice for this family did the best they could with what they had to work with now. It doesnt matter to me what questions weren't answered here. After I heard the lying wife ask on the phone about the bloody shirt and his response ill answer that but not on the phone that was it for me. If he had nothing to hide and did nothing wrong he would have explained the bloody shirt away then not said oh ill explain it but not on the phone. He wanted to have sex with her was rejected couldnt handle it and killed her. I feel so sorry for this family who was torn apart and hurt all cause one guy couldnt keep it in his pants.
